3May 5, 2009 11:53 PMMy property (3 acres), because it has open space, rolling hills, oaks, wildlife habitat, views, is quiet and secluded, and I can walk my dogs here, yet it's just a couple miles from shopping and services.

11May 18, 2009 10:55 PMDo not have one. Marvels produce is terrible, along with their very high prices in the rest of the store. Hardware store charges 20% or more than other hardware stores, both in county and out. No wonder why the majority of us shop out of this county. No shopping to support our residents, no jobs, no tax sources.If I have known how this county government was ran, and the lack of residential shopping support for our needs at a comparable price, I would have never moved here.

23May 19, 2009 8:31 PMMy favorite place in Valley Springs is my home. I live in town but it still has a rural feel to it. I am close to my children's school and I feel safe. This is something that attracted me to Valley Springs and it's something I would like to see continue.

26May 19, 2009 11:16 PMThe river of skulls trails. This is supposed to be a rural area and it is turning into just another city. It is sad to see and many long time residents are being forced out because of it. Every time a major store comes into the area as does a new surge of people who just bring big city problems and attitudes with them. Valley Springs is loosing it´s rural character and becoming a city in itself. Stop the developments and let´s return this town to the rural area it should be! At the current rate I really don´t see myself living here after the housing market improves because there are just too many people here now.

36May 20, 2009 7:00 PMThe new shopping center outside of La Contenta. Otherwise I go to Lodi, there is not quality in V.S. Seems like a truck stop. WHen family visits I take them to Sutter Creek, Murphys or Angels. V.S. is the first main town from Hwy 26 and Hwy 12 coming into Calaveras County... it should invite people in, stand out, make people love it here and want to move or vacation here. The way it looks, people just keep going. Its a waist!!!!!
